Here is a list of places where homeschoolers can get discounts if you show them the proper documentation. (Usually, your Notice of Intent.)
Joanne Fabrics (This program is now through their app or online. There is no longer a physical card. Once you sign up, you will get an email with a scannable barcode. You will receive a 15% discount.)
Michael’s (You get a 15% discount when you show your Notice of Intent.)
Barnes and Noble (You will get an educator card and get 20% off teaching materials, and 3-4 times a year, your card allows you to take 25% off your entire purchase.)
Office Max (10% back in rewards points for Star Teachers.)
Christopher and Banks/CJ Banks (You get a 10% discount when you show your Notice of Intent.)
-The Great Falls Public Library also has a special incentive for homeschoolers. Show your copy of the stamped letter of intent to homeschool and you will get 4 weeks for lending books and get to check out way more books at a time.
-If you are wanting to get an HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) discount, please let us know. One of our members has access to a group discount for Cascade County Homeschoolers.
We are hoping to have CMOAH membership cards eventually, however it isn’t our top priority.
-The following companies and people do not provide a discount to members at this time, but they have helped out CMOAH, and we suggest you tell them, thank you, on behalf of homeschoolers and visit their businesses.
A HUGE thank you to:
Jim Koontz-Accountant and Mortgage Representative. (He helped us with the paperwork and filing for our Non-Profit Status and with our tax filings.) You can reach him at 406-727-8163 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let’s Play Games and Toys, Scheel’s, Access Fitness, Home Depot, City Bar (Restaurant), Mike’s Movies and More, FWP, Great Falls Public Library, UGF, Britta Lee, and GFC-MSU, The Bridge Church, 2J’s Market, (and many more) have all been supportive as well by offering discounts, donations, or locations to/for homeschool events. We will try to update this often so you know who supports homeschooling!
